Claude's Compliance API now covers Cowork on desktop, web, and mobile, plus Claude Code on CLI and desktop app — in beta for Claude Enterprise customers. Previously, every new Claude surface a company adopted meant a separate piece of logging infrastructure to maintain visibility; now security and compliance teams can pull session content and metadata from both products through the same API interface they already used for Claude conversations.
Compliance teams rely on this API to see how Claude is used across the organization — internal audits and eDiscovery processes — without having to deploy separate logging infrastructure for every new surface. The expansion arrives just weeks after Anthropic added 28 security and compliance integrations (DLP, SASE, SIEM, identity management, eDiscovery) with partners like CrowdStrike, Datadog, Microsoft Purview, Okta, Palo Alto Networks, and Wiz, among others.
As more engineering teams adopt Claude Code as a daily tool — not just Claude chat — the question of "what can my security team see of what a developer asked the AI" stops being hypothetical. This expansion is Anthropic's direct answer to that question: the same audit policy a company already configured for Claude Enterprise now automatically extends to the code surfaces, with no additional integration work.
