Salesforce and Anthropic deepened their alliance on August 27 with "Claudeforce": Claude becomes the default reasoning model inside Agentforce, while a Salesforce plugin arrives inside Claude with 37 ready-to-use sales skills. It's one of the deepest integrations yet between an AI lab and an enterprise CRM platform.
Claude is now available as a reasoning model for Salesforce's Atlas Reasoning Engine, and becomes the default model for Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker, on top of being available in Agent Builder for anyone building custom agents on the platform.
In the opposite direction, the "Salesforce in Claude" plugin brings 37 prebuilt sales skills directly into Claude: sales reps and their agents can reason over live revenue context, automate pipeline updates and execute governed actions without leaving the Claude conversation.
The integration runs on Amazon Bedrock, which lets Claude operate inside Salesforce's "Trust Boundary" — keeping data and AI workloads within Salesforce's security and compliance perimeter. That's what enables companies in regulated industries to use domain-specific AI without their data leaving the controlled environment.
